Pep Bonet (Mallorca, 1974) is co-founder of NOOR images and Nikon Europe ambassador. Pep is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer who has traveled extensively capturing profound moments that represent the deranged world we live in. Pep is also a Profoto ambassador and part of the Chris Benz Ocean team, and is the Spanish sailing speed record holder. His long-term projects focus on African issues, with his best known project being 'Faith in Chaos', a photographic essay on the aftermath of the war in Sierra Leone. Pep's ongoing work around the world on HIV/Aids and identity has resulted in several photography books and many exhibitions around the world. He is also known for a long-term report on the rock 'n roll band Motörhead. Pep spent many years (2008-2015) on the road with Lemmy Kilmister, the legendary lead singer of the band, and created an outstanding visual document of the many hours spent with Motörhead. He has also directed their official video clips, created the CD covers and the official merchandising with his photographs. Since then she has been running the Wacken Open Air Instagram account during the festival. WOA is the largest open air heavy metal music festival in the world. In the last 3 years Pep has started studying infrared photography and is preparing a new body of work. He is also working with HBO Max (2021 and 2022) as the behind the scenes Director of Photography, with "House of the Dragon", the prequel to "Game of Thrones" and "The Climb", a rock climbing series with Jason Momoa.

Over the years he has dedicated himself to filming documentaries. This has resulted in numerous short and feature-length documentary films, including the award-winning 'Into the Shadows', a research into the lives of hundreds of thousands of Africans living in central Johannesburg. Pep's work has been recognized with many industry awards. It started in 2002 when he was selected for the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass with his work 'Faith in Chaos'. That same year it was named "one of the top 30 to watch" by Photo District News. In 2007 he won second prize in the World Press Photo competition in the Sport category for his work on the amputee football league in Sierra Leone.

In 2009 Pep won a second World Press Photo Award for his work "Forced Identity", which portrays the life of transsexuals in Honduras. In 2013, Pep won his third World Press Photo Award in the Multimedia category for Into the Shadows.

Pep is a photographer, filmmaker and DOP, working on personal projects, mostly directing documentary films, and on assignments for clients and NGOs. He frequently lectures on photography and film and chairs conferences and workshops.

Pep lives in Mallorca.
