I find “clean” and calm images particularly attractive. Consequently I work with an open aperture and/or with long shutter speeds. In principle, I refuse the use of artificial light in any circumstance. Gradually, the awareness grew in me that to obtain the best results in photography it is vitally important to know how to maintain calm and the ability to completely identify oneself with the chosen motif. A simple click is not enough to obtain quality photos; instead they require a lot of care and also psychological preparation, to obtain the necessary stimulus and to be able to concentrate fully on the chosen subject, however simple it may be.
The world in which I move is mainly my land, Suedtirol/Alto Adige, and I am aware that I am still able to exploit only a small part of my potential. I chose to stay in my land not so much because I feel at home. No, indeed I am aware that the surrounding (neighbouring) environments and regions can often offer more than one expects. But nowhere, outside the environment where I live, can I make the most optimal use of places, scenarios and circumstances following in time the changing conditions that arise from time to time. However, continuous exercise and mental commitment are necessary to identify new perspectives and new ideas in the environment that is most familiar to me.

Some of my photos were purchased by Canon for advertising campaigns and I published the book “Atelier Natur – Jahreszeiten in Südtirol”, a book of images in collaboration with Dr. Inga Hosp, author of the texts writings and captions.
