Nature Photographer

Born in the south of Italy, Fortunato Gatto moved to Milan as a child and where he remained until 2007, where he then took an evolutionary leap by moving to Scotland to follow his ever greater passion for wild landscapes and unspoiled nature . The magnificent surroundings, his fearless approach to unstable climatic conditions and situations as well as his tenacity in the desire to learn and improve have helped him to become an advocate of the beauty of nature.

“The essential value above all. An infinite universe within which our sensory well-being is confined. Nature is the greatest existing masterpiece as is my goal to represent it. Through metaphors, I search for hidden images to tell their secrets and, together with them, I also tell a part of myself".

To date, Fortunato has represented Scotland and many other wildernesses, in his unique style, garnering awards and global recognition, publications and media space. He organizes seminars, photographic exhibitions, conferences and exhibitions where, in addition to discussing the subject of photography, he shares his passion and his utmost respect for insights into nature, sustainability and the environment – with the aim of giving a voice and a face to Nature, the real protagonist of his masterpieces.

“A photograph does not represent reality, but a vision of it. Photographing landscapes is a subjective representation of the symbiosis that arises between a sensitive being and nature. the possibilities will be endless and it will be like opening a door to an infinite journey.”
